STERILE PRODUCTS
In 1978 Georgetown Pharmacy was equipped with a laminar flow hood housed in a prefiltered, positive
pressure, ventilated laboratory. This was the first sterile products laboratory in a full line retail pharmacy
in the United States. Since that time the staff of Georgetown Pharmacy has been providing patients with
intravenous solutions and other sterile products.
